Thor Helical's Stainless Steel Wall Ties are installed using the SDS-TOOL — an efficient, cost-effective self-tapping and non-disruptive mechanical anchor used to replace Timber Frame Ties in timber-framed houses up to 4 storeys high.

Thor Helical's Stainless Steel Remedial Timber Frame Wall Ties are a Type 6 Wall Tie in accordance with BS 5268-6.1:1996. The flexibility of the Helical Wall Tie is ideal for coping with the differential movement that occurs during settlement between the timber and the masonry.

Remedial Timber Frame Wall Ties must align with the vertical studs and are installed through a Ø10mm clearance hole and embedded 35mm into the timber stud using a CDT-DRIVER. The end in the outer leaf is chemically bonded using resin to ensure a secure connection to the masonry.
